TABACÓN GRAND SPA THERMAL RESORT CELEBRATES VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES WITH DISCOUNTS YEAR-ROUND
La Fortuna, COSTA RICA (October 2011) – In observance of Veteran’s Day on November 11, Tabacón Grand Spa Thermal Resort in Costa Rica, the five-star, carbon-neutral resort in the shadow of the active Arenal Volcano, introduces a year-round discount for active military servicemen and women, veterans and their families. The 30% discount lowers the resort’s nightly rack rate of $195, for example, to $136, for a superior room, based on double occupancy, and includes taxes. The discount is available for all room categories, dining options (breakfast, lunch and dinner), and spa treatments and is subject to some restrictions and blackout dates. The reduced rate does not apply to off-property excursions. The promotion is valid from November 1, 2011 through November 1, 2012.
“We are delighted to honor vets and, in some small way, show our grateful appreciation for the selflessness they show every day,” says resort Managing Director Uwe Wagner. “With its lush gardens and natural waterfalls, lagoons, thermal rivers and hot spring pools, it is hard to imagine a more rejuvenating and relaxing setting than Tabacón to restore and reset the body’s natural sense of peace and balance. Whether they served years ago, have recently been discharged or are simply enjoying a short break between tours of duty, these heroic men and women will be welcomed enthusiastically and reverently. Due to their efforts, today’s world is a better place.”
During their stay, guests have unlimited access to the award-winning resort’s thermal mineral hot springs, lagoons and river pools and, nearby, can enjoy ziplining through the rainforest, navigating Costa Rica’s picturesque hanging bridges and hiking to the Arenal volcano. The resort’s top-rated chefs offer a delicious combination of Ayurvedic, Costa Rican and international cuisine (sure to top anything served at the canteen). At The Grand Spa, signature services such as a Volcanic Mud Wrap use local mud from the volcano to capture the essence of the resort’s rainforest location.
